Crisp winter day, snow on the ground and the sun shining through a scene of beautiful snow laden trees.

Beat the January Blues!

Coming down with a bump after the festive season? Struggling to get going again as the cold settles in?  You are not alone!

So many people struggle at this time of year as there is so much pressure to start a new, set of goals and resolutions, begin diets etc etc.  But this creates so much stress and anxiety!  It totally feels unnatural to be rushing into new things.  However, if we just stopped and looked around us more closely we would notice that nature is actually stopping, relaxing, resting and rejuvenating itself.

If we look back at our ancestors, this would be the time when they would be gathered around their families and friends, still hunkered down within their warm homes with their animals and still living off the fruits of their labour, their harvest of the previous seasons.

Our bodies were not meant to be moving into fresh new activities at this time!  So why do we believe we should be doing so in this modern age?  So much today relates to the linear timescales rather than listening to the natural rhythm's of nature and our own bodies.

More people nowadays are beginning to see the benefit of making 'down time' during this season and we want to be there for you, to support you, here at Suzie K, by encouraging you to build more wellbeing into your daily practice.  Meditation is a very old and sacred art, a time to stop and be in the present moment.  It can be built into your daily practice, just 10 to 15 minutes a day can help you to collect yourself and prepare for whatever you are facing for the day.  And if you feel unsure meditating on your own, come and join one of our guided meditation groups here at Suzie K and we'll support you with your practice whilst connecting you to like minded people.  Check out the different support sessions we have available by following us on Eventbrite at https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/o/suzie-k-fae-connection-87305156883

Nature plays it's part in supporting wellbeing in so many ways; the beauty of walking amongst nature, taking in the wonderful sights and the fabulous scents. In this rushed world where everything is based on immediacy, it is good to be able to bring nature into our homes to support our meditation and wellbeing practices. For many years the scents of natural herbs and flowers and the oils extracted from them can be of massive benefit to us. The stimulation of our olfactory sense strongly links us to memories working closely with our taste and brain.

Essential oils and natural incense can be used to invoke a feeling of relaxation and transport us to nature within seconds as we transform our homes with the scent of these gorgeous products. At Suzie K we have a range of loose herbs, essential oils, natural incense and pure hand rolled incense sticks. Something for everyone and we would be happy to help you with the best choices to suit your needs. So what are you waiting for, come in and let us support your well being journey!
